Q.  Why would my Vet choose to do an ultrasound?
A.  When symptoms cannot be diagnosed with only a physical exam or blood work, diagnostic imaging such as ultrasound is essential for finding the root of your pet’s problem. Ultrasounds allow your veterinarian to “see” your pet’s internal organs and monitor their function. Digital X-rays and electrocardiograms may also be used in conjunction with ultrasound to create a fuller picture of your pet’s internal structures.

Since ultrasounds are difficult to use successfully without the proper training, many vets rely on us to perform the complex procedure. With our connections to a board-certified radiologist and cardiologist as well, we’re able to give your pet a professional diagnosis that your veterinarian can use in developing an effective treatment plan.

Talk to your veterinarian if you have any questions about ultrasound!
